About Us
My name is Justin Boggs, and like a lot of pontoon owners in the Midwest, I've spent the last 20 years on the water. Boating isn't just a hobby for our family — it's how we spend our summers, make our memories, and unwind from the everyday.
A few years ago I started noticing something that drove me crazy every time we trailered our pontoon: the bow would bounce and shift during transport no matter how tight I strapped it down. I tried different strap configurations, adjusted the bunks — nothing fully solved it. After doing some research I realized the problem wasn't the straps themselves, it was the angle they were pulling. Without a proper winch bracket routing the strap downward, the bow was never truly locked to the trailer.
So I decided to fix it myself.
After a few months of design and testing, I developed a heavy-duty bolt-on winch bracket that routes the tie-down strap down and back up to the bow eye — creating the firm downward pull that keeps the boat locked in place during transport. No welding, no fabricator, just a simple bolt-on solution any pontoon owner can install themselves.
We started Blue Current Outfitters as a family-owned business because we believe pontoon and tritoon owners deserve practical, well-built hardware that actually solves real problems. Every bracket we sell is manufactured right here in the USA, powder coated for durability, and backed by our commitment to quality.
If you've ever dealt with a bouncing bow on the highway, you know exactly why we built this. We hope it gives your family the same peace of mind it gave ours.
